Fable raises $6.5m to expand its mushroom-based brand.

The team at Fable Food Co are having a busy month. After the recent launch of their much-celebated collaboration with Heston Blumenthal & Grill’d the team have now announced further funding to help expand their reach outside of our Australian shores.

Here’s what Fable had to say about the funding on their LinkedIn page this week:

“Today, we announce our $6.5 million seed funding round led by Blackbird Ventures. A major milestone for the books.

A little over a year ago, Fable Food Co started with the mission to inspire people to reduce their meat consumption with our plant-based meaty pulled mushroom products.

By leveraging the nutritious benefits and natural umami flavours of mushrooms, we have created a natural, clean label and minimally processed product without compromising on taste or quality.

It has been a wild ride so far, from bringing more plant-based meal options to home cooks through Marley Spoon, to ranging our meaty mushroom products nationally in Woolworths Group, Coles and Harris Farm Markets, to most recently unveiling our Meaty Mushroom Burger Pattie in Grill’d Healthy Burgers restaurants.

We are now ready for the next chapter and bringing more delicious meaty food made from mushrooms to diners all around the world.
