Krispy Kreme may now have 4 new vegan friendly donuts in Australia
Last year Krispy Kreme Australia launched a new range of vegan labelled donuts that were unbelievably tasty!
(Read more about them here).
The range included Apple Custard Crumble & Fudge Brownie Bliss varieties!
Whilst the launch of these was amazing news to vegans everywhere, there was still one niggling question on many people’s minds….when will we get a vegan original glaze?!
Well, the time may have just come!
Let us explain.
The new ingredient lists
Recently the Krispy Kreme ingredient list has changed in most states here in Australia (SA hasn’t as yet updated their list so we can’t be certain).
The list of ingredients is all vegan-friendly, however, the actaul label hasn’t been defined as vegan as they still have a warning stating ‘may contain dairy and egg’. This warning appears on many products as it relates to the facility in which products are produced rather than the ingredients themselves. Legally in the case of cross-contamination, they must state this.
So based on just the ingredients the following donuts can now be considered vegan:
Original Glazed Doughnuts, Traditional Cinnamon Doughnut, Kookies n’ Kreme Doughnuts and Strawberry Jam Doughnuts

Final Thoughts
Whilst this is now the case as of publishing, we always encourage you to recheck the ingredient list as this can change at any time without warning.
If you have an allergy to anything please double check with the company before consuming.
But this is still great news for those who were or are fans of the Krispy Kreme donuts but who want to enjoy them 100% cruelty-free.
Be sure to leave your comments below and let us know what you think of the new ingredient varieties or the vegan-stated varieties.
