Vegan Australia launches vegan Promise Campaign

Vegan Australia is the national body for all things vegan in Australia.

In 2023 they announced a new CEO, Dr Heidi Nicholl who has been busy at work continuing the amazing work the organisation has been doing for years.

One new and exciting initiative is the launch of their vegan promise. The promise gives Australians the chance to show their support for veganism and wear that support as a badge of honor.

So what is the promise exactly?

Vegan Australia is asking as many people as possible to support them by taking the Vegan Promise via one of their sustaining membership levels (from $10/month).

If you choose to join them as a Vegan Advocate, Vegan Champion, or Vegan Hero they will send you out a Welcome Pack as a token of their gratitude. The pack includes a stylish lapel pin, delicious Vegan Australia Certified lollies, a plantable thank-you card to start creating your own herb garden, and a curated collection of their favourite vegan recipes.

If you join Vegan Australia as lifetime member Vegan for Life or choose our ‘Because I can‘ level of support they will include an exclusive gold lapel pin with your welcome pack.

If times are tough you can also take the Promise and become a member of Vegan Australia from just $10/yr (or contact us if you’d like to take the Promise but $10 is still out of reach).

They have stated that they don’t want finances to be a barrier – but  appreciate every dollar of support to help them with their vital campaigning and advocacy work which will be stepping up in 2024.  

They also now have their “Promise Wall” on their new website where you can share your personal pledge, and read other individual commitments to the vegan cause.

Each person to take the Vegan Promise is given a Lifetime Promise Number. This first group of 100 people to join us will always be remembered as the foundations of the Promise Program.
