Whole Grain Spelt Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g whole grain spelt flour
  • 500 ml water
  • 50 g yeast
  • 10 g salt
  • 2 tsp vinegar
  • 20 g sunflower seeds
  • 10 g of extra different seeds like linseeds or chia seeds

Instructions
 

  • Heat up the oven to 180℃
  • Grease (vegan butter) and powder (flour) the baking form.
  • Dissolve the yeast in 500ml warm water.
  • Put flour, salt (and extra seeds) in a bowl.
  • Pour the yeast-water into the bowl and add the vinegar.
  • Knead the dough for 7 min.
  • Put the dough into the baking form and sprinkle the topside with the sunflower seeds.
  • Mop the topside with some water.
  • Put the bread into the oven for 50 min.
  • Take the bread out of the oven and also straight out of the baking form and put it on a grid.
  • Mop the bread with some water to give it some extra gloss.
  • Let it chill for about an hour and enjoy your freshly baked bread.

Notes

Due to the vinegar, you don’t need to let the dough rest. Otherwise, it would need about one hour extra to rest.
