Be Kind To Animals Week will run from 1-7 October 2020.
The event was created and continues to be run by Pam Ahern and her incredible team at Edgars Mission. For those who don’t already know about Edgars Mission, its a farm sanctuary in Lancefield Victoria that’s home to 450 plus rescued animals. The sanctuary not only rehomes but also rehabilitates many of these incredible animals and allow tours, groups, and events on their property throughout the year. They are also just about to launch a NEW BOOK so look out for that one too.
So what is Be Kind To Animals Week?
Be Kind to Animals Week, from 1 – 7 October, aims to create a moment in time where we can pause, reflect and plan what we can do to help animals, and provide inspiration with simple ideas and delicious recipes.
You can help them spread the message of kindness to all animals by making a Pledge HERE (There are also some great incentives such as prizes to be won and recipes sent to you throughout the week).
And they even have a hashtag so that you can share your plant-based meals or kind animal moments #bekindtoanimalsweek
The initiative has a whole host of amazing ambassadors including Peter Siddle, DJ Tigerlily, AFL player Chris Mayne, Nutritionist Tammy Fry of Fry’s Family Foods, Lyn White – Director of Strategy at Animals Australia (and someone who has done so much incredible work for the animals around the world!) and many more compassionate supporters.
So if you would like to sign up for your pack and to pledge visit the Be Kind To Animals Week Pledge here.
