Betty’s Burgers launches a new plant based offering
Betty’s Burgers, the popular Australian burger chain has recently launched a brand new plant-based offering labeled The Classic Plant. At $11.50 it is one of the best value menu items and contains the Australian-made Love Buds plant-based patty.
Whilst the burger isn’t originally vegan, it can be modified to become a vegan burger, making it a great option for anyone in the market for a quality feed.
In order to make it vegan, you will just need to ask the staff who can remove the sauce, cheese and change the bun type. This is what Betty’s Burgers say about the change in bun:
“All of our restaurants offer a specific vegan bun that is baked without gluten, as well as a “bare” burger option that’s wrapped in lettuce as a substitute for a bun. For our coeliac guests, we toast our vegan buns on a separate grill not containing gluten to avoid cross-contamination.”
Whilst this might seem like a hassle, it’s a great step forward to see them offering a plant-based item and promoting it heavily across their social media, website, and stores.
