Nothing beats an aussie favourite turned plant-based! These snack-sized scrolls are the perfect combination of salty vegemite, cheesy goodness and buttery pastry. Enjoy our staple Pizza Shred’s mild nutty flavour that melts and stretches easily and evenly, without going oily!
SWAP: Traditional mozzarella for our BioCheese Pizza Shred for a completely plant-based treat!
3 cups self-raising flour
Salt, to taste
1-1 1/2 cups plant-based milk
1 1/2 cups BioCheese Pizza Shred
Preheat oven to 220 degrees C.
Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Slowly add BioButtery until the mixture appears similar to breadcrumbs. Stir in enough plant-based milk to make a soft dough.
Knead on a lightly floured board. Roll into a rectangle (approx. 40cm x 25cm). Spread Vegemite over the dough and sprinkle approx. 1 cup of BioCheese Pizza Shred on top.
Roll up the dough starting from the long side first. Slice 10cm x 4cm from the roll.
Place these pieces close together on a greased baking tray, with the cut side facing upwards.
Sprinkle additional BioCheese Pizza Shred on top. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes (or until golden brown).
