NUYU launch new plant based milk

Plant-milk lovers, we have some good news, there’s a new milk alternative hitting the shelves. We would like to introduce NuYu, an Australian range of premium long-life vegan-friendly plant-milks. The range boasts flavour, versatility and sustainability.

Made in South Australia, NuYu’s ambient plant-milk products have a shelf life of 9 months and consists of five delicious variants – Almond, Oat, Macadamia, Cashew and Pistachio.

NuYu Assistant Brand Manager, Amelia Wright, says

“We are excited to provide people with a healthy plant-milk range that supports 90% Australian ingredients, with 100% Australian oats, almond and macadamias used.”

A CSIRO survey found that 74% of people avoiding milk and dairy were doing so due to gastrointestinal problems. Lactose intolerance has also become increasingly more common over recent years. Amelia Wright says,

“People opting for a dairy alternative will perceive this as a positive choice and feel confident knowing there is no compromise on quality, function or flavour…Why settle for good, when you can feel great?”

The range has no added colours, sweeteners or artificial flavours either, NuYu vegan milk is free from GMOs and rank in a 3.5 star health rating for Almond, Macadamia and Cashew and a 4 star for Pistachio and Oat.

Amelia Wright says,

“The NuYu range is multi-purposed and promotes different usages to suit personal health or taste preferences.”

NuYu is suitable for coffee and tea, cooking, baking, smoothies and more. “The Almond, Oat, Cashew and Macadamia are considered ‘Barista Blends’ which means they are formulated to froth and mix well with coffee, whereas Pistachio works best in hot chocolates and chais,” says Amelia Wright.

NuYu is actively working towards making their packaging sustainable by switching to a material that is a minimum of 30% recycled plastic (RPET).

“We are passionate about closing the gap between chilled and ambient plant-milks and we are proud to offer versatility, functionality, convenience and sustainability,” says Amelia Wright.

The oat milk is terrible. Has a really strong smell- very off-putting. Had to tip the lot down the drain. Oatly or minor figures are sooo much nicer. Seems like ingredients are similar so not sure how nuyu has got it so wrong. Won’t buy again.

Nu Yu oat milk tastes and smells like play dough.
