Smith & Daughters is the original vegan restaurant in Collingwood, Melbourne. Starting its life on Brunswick Street in  Fitzroy, ‘Smith’s’ as its affectionately known in vegan circles is now housed on Cambridge St Collingwood, just a few metres away from its sibling eatery Smith & Deli. Both concepts are the work of Shannon Martinez the head chef and proprietor.

@melbournefoodandwine Smith & Daughters has launched a vegan steak night. Fake meat, not-fake news.  Shannon Martinez and the Smith & Daughters team have been working on a vegan steak for months, making the fake meat and fat separately so that it closely resembles dry-aged beef. The steak is served with a bunch of steakhouse sides including potato gratin, a butter lettuce salad with parmesan and molasses-roasted carrots. The result? The more casual of the two Smith’s eateries, the deli has a huge selection of vegan pastries, meats, and all sorts of vegan goodies, plus sandwiches + coffee!
