Shannon Martinez hitting Good Food Month in Sydney this October

Shannon Martinez the chef behind Melbourne’s vegan innovative eateries Smith & Daughters and Smith & Deli will be hosting a night at Sydney’s ‘Mary’s Underground’ as part of the Good Food Month this October.

Martinez is a meat-eating vegan chef known for pushing the boundaries of what vegan food can and should be, quality. For anyone who has been to Smith & Daughters, you will know that this is not just lip service, their food is incredible.

Martinez credits her ability to produce quality vegan food to the fact that she isn’t strictly vegan herself and therefore understands how to replicate the tastes and textures of meat to her discerning patrons.

If you want to hear more about Shannon’s story we recommend you listen to a fantastic interview she did with the VedgeTalk Podcast here.

For this one night affair, the theme is ‘Southern’. Martinez will be designing not just a food menu but the booze as well (vegan approved obviously). She and the team will be creating a classic Southern multi-course menu that’s refined, delicious and completely vegan.

The tickets will include multiple vegan shared courses with wine, beer supplied by James Squire and live music.

LGV.
