Event Program Manager for Vegan NSW, Jones (they/them) said:
“By gathering the best of the Sydney vegan community in one place we are showing that the future truly is vegan.”
“Sydney Vegan Market is the perfect event for everyone to see that a vegan lifestyle is delicious, accessible and affordable.”
“The event is known for its warm, inclusive vibe, and a huge part of that is thanks to the passionate local businesses and organisations involved and our dedicated team of volunteers.”
“The last few months have been challenging for everyone, and we are so excited that we can bring a Covid-safe outdoor event to the community.”
The market’s slightly new layout surrounding Cathy Freeman Park means there will now be lots of shade when lining up for food, as well as plenty of space to relax under the trees.
As well as bringing your mates, your dog and a picnic rug, the market also encourages BYO cups, cutlery and containers. Almost 100% of the food and drink packaging and utensils can be composted in the green bins available.
Sydney Vegan Market relies on volunteers to help bring the event to life. If you’re up for helping with market set up, pack down, traffic control, first-aid support, or the lemonade and chai stalls, register at Better Impact to be part of the fun and meet like-minded people.
So for all your Sydney siders or those visiting, be sure to get down and check out all that the Sydney Vegan Market has to offer!
