YAY! Plant Based Feta is hitting Woolworths stores across NSW.

Having taken the vegan world by storm from the moment it hit the shelves in Victoria, YAY! Foods marinated plant-based Feta has been exclusively invited into select Woolworth’s stores in New South Wales and ACT.

A giant leap for the boutique brand with big dreams to enter the thriving Sydney marketplace – and the invitation is all thanks to a personal recommendation to a Woolworth’s buyer.

For anyone in the vegan community or even those not in the vegan community, who has tried the product, you will know just how awesome their feta really is!

Their delicious plant-based feta is the perfect alternative for anyone looking to replicate it’s authentic cheese flavour – something that’s hard to compromise on in the final hurdle to becoming vegan or dairy-free.

Handcrafted in regional Victoria, YAY! was created by two sisters who believe in every aspect of living life to the fullest – an exuberance that flows through everything they do.

YAY! Foods feta can be found in the deli section at select Woolworths stores in NSW and ACT starting from May 5th.

A little about the team who created the product

Meet Nalin and Nergiz – two Passionate sisters with a big dream to create delicious vegan food that tastes unbelievably good. From a traditional Turkish family where pide, kofte and imam bayildi are prize dishes served at family gatherings, Nalin, motivated by a love of animals and the planet, become the first in the family to explore a life of plant-based eating.

She loved how good it made her feel and, being a great cook, she was able to experiment with plant-based dishes to make them taste unbelievably good. Following the birth of her daughter, Nalin’s husband made the move to vegan. His ‘a-ha’ moment came as she breastfed their child – an act which forever changed his view of animal-derived products and the ethical issues associated with their production. Together they got to creating a new tasty plant-based menu for dishes that could be shared with the entire family, for everyone to enjoy freely.

Nerg’s vegan journey began entirely differently. A crippling spinal injury threatened her ability to walk again, and the repeated inflammation she suffered was only finally resolved when going dairy free (and vegan). A journey sustained by an absolute joy of indulging in delicious plant-based foods. She is hooked and as passionate as Nalin about sharing this joy of delicious plant-based food. So much so that in 2017, the sisters created YAY! Foods and are now the passionate producers of a range of handcrafted vegan pies, pastries and their founding (and currently most prized) product – marinated vegan feta.
