There are some products that are so classically dairy or meat-based that you think you will never see the day that they have a vegan version created in their image.
The following products not only fit into this category but have also nailed the vegan versions of the originals.
So here below are the products that we are glad were given a revamp and are just as good as their originals.
Streets with the Golden Gaytime Icecream

This year the Golden Gaytime, the classic Australian ice cream was given a vegan version. The fanfare was pretty huge for this one, and luckily for all ice cream lovers, it did not disappoint! So our number one pick for this list is the vegan-friendly Golden Gaytime!
Four n Twenty with their plant based pie

The classic Australian pie company Four n Twenty was another brand that you presumed wouldn’t be interested in creating a plant-based / vegan version of their very Australian meat-based pies. But a few years ago they ventured into the plant-based world with the introduction of their plant-based pie and sausage roll.

Mac’s with their plant-based shortbread

The shortbread fingers are made just like the original but with plant-based ingredients and baked using the traditional home-style recipe. The brand is Australian-made and owned so it’s great to see a vegan shortbread hitting the market in 2022. Buy them at Woolworths here.
Hungry Jack’s Vegan Whopper

The whopper but Vegan! The vegan version of their classic burger consists of a double vegan patty (made from corn, capsicum and carrot), vegan cheese and vegan mayonnaise with tomato sauce, onions, fresh tomato and crisp lettuce on a delicious seeded bun. Hungry Jacks have been very active in moing into the plant based space, take a look at some of their other vegan options here.
Kraft Mac & Cheese (Vegan Version)

The great savior to many a lazy dinner, mac & cheese is now very much a vegan indulgence now too! The classic Kraft product was given a vegan makeover and has received praise for its cheesy, creamy, and delicious texture!
