Beyond Meat IPO signals a seismic shift in the battle to take plant-based alternatives to the world

On Monday of this week Beyond Meat, the plant-based meat company that was founded in 2009 filed papers indicating they will be preparing for an IPO on Wall Street in the near future. With some high profile investors and a surge in popularity over the last few years, the company looks poised to take their plant-based burgers to the world in greater numbers than ever before!

So what does this say about the future of plant-based meats? Well looking at just some of the investors in the company, the future looks pretty damn good!

Backers of the plant-based meats include traditional meat producers Tyson Foods and Memphis Meats as well as high profile investment in the way of celebrities such as Richard Branson, Bill Gates and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Seeing the mainstream popularity of the burger, many fast food chains and grocery stores have picked up the burger and we are now seeing beyond meat everywhere! Just last week Grill’d launched their version of the Beyond Burger and even had a meatless Monday where they only served their plant-based menu for an entire day.

We are very excited to see this company take their offering to the next level and let’s hope its onwards and upwards for not just Beyond but for all plant-based alternatives coming into this new market.
