Bill Maher chats with PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk.

In a recent chat, Bill Maher chatted with Ingrid Newkirk the founder of the world’s largest animal rights organisation PETA.

Ingrid is still as passionate and driven to alleviate animal cruelty in the world and it’s great to hear the founder of this organisation get ‘mainstream’ coverage. Whilst many people can have mixed feelings about the tactics PETA often use to get the message across, there is no denying their impact and positive effect on the world and the animals.

From us here at Let’s Go Vegan, thank you, Ingrid, for all you do!

What is PETA?

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is an American animal rights organization based in Norfolk, Virginia, and led by Ingrid Newkirk, its international president. The nonprofit corporation claims 6.5 million supporters.
