Natural Confectionery Co launches vegan range
Natural Confectionery Co launches vegan range.

We recently learned that popular Aussie sweet producer, The Natural Confectionery Co are about to release a VEGAN range of their popular sweets! This is incredibly good news and it’s great to see yet another household brand name offering up a vegan alternative to the ever-growing population of vegan and vegan-curious consumers.
Now some of you may be wondering…
Why don’t vegans eat most traditional varieties of lollies?
Well, most traditional ranges or lollies contain gelatin and therefore are not suitable to vegetarians or vegans.
Gelatin is an ingredient used to create the chewy texture of the lolly and give it that texture we all know and once enjoyed (before we understood what we were chewing).
Trust us it’s not good, gelatin is actually made from is boiled down skin, tendons, bones, and ligaments from an array of animals (wow, and we market this to kids?!). The confectionery industry isn’t the only industry that uses gelatin, it is also used in medication and manufacturing so always look out for it and be sure to avoid it.
So this announcement will no doubt be music to the ears of Australian’s who grew up with the brand but now through going vegan or vegetarian have abstained from lolly eating accordingly.
We know we are excited about the roll-out of the Natural Confectionery vegan range!
So what flavours can we expect?
We have been told that the following flavours are set to be released under the VEGAN range.
- Crisp Apple,
- Wild Blackcurrant
- Luscious Peach
- Tropical Pineapple
- Ripe Raspberry
Why did they launch a vegan range now?
Lauren Fildes, (Marketing Director, Candy, Biscuits & Meals) for The Natural Confectionery Co. Australia says,
“We couldn’t ignore the requests from Aussies asking for a Vegan-friendly option. We believe all lolly lovers deserve to enjoy The Natural Confectionery Co.’s delicious jellies, so we’re proud to be able to offer Australians a sensational new product that doesn’t compromise on taste.”
