Seaspiracy trailer drops for Netflix Documentary.
The Seaspiracy team has just released the much-anticipated trailer for the upcoming documentary and it is everything you would expect from the team who previously brought us Cowspiracy & What The Health.
The Seaspiracy doco will be coming to Netflix on March 24th in front of a global audience of 190+ countries with a member base of 200+ million people (now that’s impact).
The team hopes the film will radically transform the way we think and act on ocean conservation forever.
The movie will examine the global fishing industry, challenging notions of sustainable fishing, and showing how human actions cause widespread environmental destruction.
Like the previously mentioned films, expect the team to push boundaries, go behind the curtain and force ‘big industry’ to answer the uncomfortable questions.
Some facts that will be brought to light by the film:
Since 1950, 29% of commercial fish species have suffered collapse, and this is accelerating with over 75% of fisheries exploited or depleted today. Overfishing, habitat loss and pollution are driving numbers of most fish populations into faster and faster decline. If current trends continue, all commercial populations currently fished are predicted to collapse by 2048. So with this in mind, here is the official trailer for Seaspiracy:
Given the statistics and the knowledge we already have about the importance of these issues facing the sea, this documentary couldn’t come soon enough. We hope that everyone will watch, share and suggest to friends and family, and with education and knowledge can come change. We are running out of time to adjust the course of history and it’s up to every single one of us to do our part and boycott these industries for good.
