Watch Earthling Ed teach animal rights to children

Standing up for animal rights is no longer just a fringe idea, it’s something we should all be doing in 2020 and beyond. People are now beginning to wake up and make the connection between animals we love and find cute and yet also eat because we feel we ‘need to’.  With the rise of the internet and social media, we have been exposed to so much more of what is going on around the world and most recently with streaming services such as Netflix and the like, people are finally getting access to more footage and more information about the animal agricultural industries.

This is certainly a good thing, as no one should be denied access to see where exactly their food is coming from. With more exposure comes more questions around the necessity of eating animals and their role in our lives as food, clothing, and entertainment. Like many things gone before, we believe their use in these industries is well and truly redundant and we think the world is beginning to move forward with vegan alternatives in meat, dairy, materials, and ideas.

So in this latest video from Earthling Ed, he shares a recent lecture he gave to a group of 12-year-olds on animal rights. What Earthling Ed is really great at is getting the children to answer questions and question existing assumptions they may have had around animal rights and welfare. In the chat, he simply asks the students to look at whether or not they would eat certain animals over others and whether this is a fair thing or not.
